History
Dating back to 1970s, our company has started service in transportations sector under a different name and it started to give service as Meltem Uluslar arası Taşımacılık ve Ticaret A.Ş., the name derived from the famous " wind of breeze" of Antalya in order to make domestic and international transportation.
Mainly transporting fresh vegetable-fruit to Middle East in the foundation years, our company headed to Europe due to the increasing politic unrests in Middle East and in addition to fresh vegetable-fruit transportation, it also focused on industrial goods transportation with taut vehicles.
In 1993, going a step further, Meltem Internationale Spedition & Handels GMBH was established in the Munich city of Germany. In the first years of this company, a process of compliance to Europe laws was experienced and thanks to this company, the demands of customers abroad were closely followed and solutions proper to these expectations were produced. Having original German plate vehicle fleet in Germany, our company can also smoothly perform in Europe transportations.
Upon the activation of Ro-Ro sea lines between Europe and Turkey after 1995, our company added new routes to its already existing routes and it started transportations between Europe and Turkey from Trieste city of Italy. This line enabled resolving the problems in Europe and Balkan Peninsula and more quality, safe service.
Starting to use the first double vehicle in Turkey in 2004, our company has been protecting its first and single double vehicle fleet feature since then. Transporting medical material with these vehicles, our company always presents time and price privilege to its customers.
In 2005, ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System Certificate was taken.
In 2006, our branch was opened in Izmir.
In 2009, due to inability to give customs storage service in Antalya, taking the problems of our customers into account, warehouse investments were made and in October, 2009, Meltem Warehouse was opened for service.
In 2010, since the activities of our branch in Izmir increased and our customers had storage demands, our branch was moved to Kemalpasa and started to give storage service.
Throughout this development process, without abandoning our principles, our company has spent 30 years in this sector and we are still trying to be the first company for serving safe and stable services for our customers and in transportation.
